About The Position

This position is an entry-level role designed for individuals seeking to develop essential skills in the construction of electrical substations, transmission lines, and renewable energy systems. The role involves learning daily reporting, quality assurance/quality control, environmental compliance, and safety compliance. The Field Construction Manager Assistant (FCMA) may be required to step in for the Field Construction Manager (FCM) when necessary. Strong computer and organizational skills are crucial. Upon demonstrating mastery of FCMA duties, there is an expectation of progression to the Field Construction Manager (FCM) position. The FCMA plays a vital support role, assisting the FCM in managing complex projects. Responsibilities include administrative support, secondary supervision of subcontractors, material receiving and inventory, safety and quality control support, daily on-site reporting, and environmental compliance inspections. This role is not location-specific and requires nationwide project support.

Requirements

  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to provide clear leadership for all subcontractors involved in the execution of the project.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work cooperatively with clients, colleagues, engineers, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Sense of urgency and ability to push projects forward without sacrificing quality or safety.
  • Subject to client-mandated drug and background checking.
  • Subject to EPC Services Company’s auto insurance carrier requirements.
  • Must not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B visa status) now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Field Construction Manager (FCM) with administrative duties associated with the project.
  • Provide secondary supervision of subcontractor’s activities.
  • Manage material receiving and maintain accurate material inventory.
  • Offer safety support and quality control/quality assurance support.
  • Provide daily on-site reporting support.
  • Conduct environmental compliance inspections.
