About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced, adaptable, and strategically minded professional to join our Clinical Field team in Puerto Rico. As a Field Clinical Representative, you will provide advanced clinical and technical support during implants and follow-ups across hospitals, clinics, and medical offices, while also playing a key leadership role within a developing and junior team. This position requires a high level of autonomy, critical thinking, and professional maturity. You will be expected not only to execute clinical support activities but also to influence decision-making, optimize clinical strategies, and elevate team performance through mentorship and leadership. You will travel frequently across Puerto Rico, as there is no fixed territory, and must be available to participate in an on-call rotation, including evenings, nights, and weekends, to ensure 24/7 clinical support. This role is instrumental in driving market growth, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring clinical excellence, while operating in a corporate environment that values compliance, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, Engineering, Nursing, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5+ years of relevant experience, ideally within a corporate and/or medical device environment.
  • Demonstrated professional maturity and autonomy, with the ability to operate independently in high-pressure clinical settings.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex clinical situations and make sound decisions.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities, with experience supporting or developing junior team members.
  • Experience working in dynamic, fast-paced environments with frequent changes in priorities and schedules.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, with the ability to manage sensitive clinical interactions professionally.
  • Solid understanding of technical and business concepts, including compliance, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong collaboration mindset, with the ability to work cross-functionally and contribute to team success.

  • Knowledge of cardiovascular care concepts (e.g., electrocardiography, electrophysiology, anatomy, physiology) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver advanced clinical support during cardiac device implants, follow-ups, troubleshooting, and patient programming across healthcare centers.
  • Act as a key clinical advisor for complex cases, including candidacy assessment, case strategy, and program development.
  • Travel extensively across Puerto Rico — this role does not have a designated territory.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, including overnight and weekend coverage.
  • Respond to rapidly changing clinical demands with agility, sound judgment, and professionalism.
  • Train physicians, nurses, and technicians on the theory and application of BSC technology and software.
  • Lead and mentor junior field clinical representatives, providing coaching, onboarding support, and ongoing development.
  • Support and enhance team capabilities by acting as a field mentor and knowledge resource.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, clinical research, technical support) to develop optimal customer solutions.
  • Actively contributes to regional strategy execution, identifying opportunities to grow market share and improve customer engagement.
  • Leverage data, digital tools, and emerging technologies (including AI) to enhance clinical decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain commercial inventory and required documentation in compliance with corporate standards.
  • Track, report, and resolve device and patient-related issues using approved corporate procedures.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within hospital systems.
  • Support professional education initiatives, workshops, and clinical training programs.
  • Ensure full compliance with corporate policies, quality systems, and regulatory standards, maintaining a strong commitment to patient safety.

Benefits

  • The anticipated annualized base amount or range for this full time position will be $ 46500 to $ 88400 , plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives) as well as the value of core and optional benefits offered at BSC, which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com.
