About The Position

Saiia Construction is currently hiring for a Field Clerk to join our team in Chester, VA. The Field Clerk supports jobsite leadership with administrative tasks, with a primary focus on payroll. This role also works closely with Corporate teams to help coordinate jobsite administrative activities. Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience using computers, tablets and smartphones and different software applications such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Timekeeping software.
  • Ability to maintain normal attendance based on employee handbook standards.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates relevant jobsite information and keeps jobsite leadership appraised of current situations.
  • Records and maintains work schedules and work in progress reports for jobsite leadership team.
  • Updates daily scheduling board, logs, and database for tracking heavy equipment, operators, project status, etc.
  • Serves as liaison to the operations department to ensure efficient communication with those in other departments.
  • Organizes and maintains filing systems for document retention as required.
  • Expedites workflow and routine daily responsibilities.
  • Arranges details for jobsite meetings.
  • Assists with imputing reported hours into the timekeeping system.
  • Performs all other tasks as assigned by Construction Manager or Superintendent.
