About The Position

Jones Lake Management is seeking a Field Biologist for their Greensboro, NC branch. This full-time position involves managing customer aquatic resources through seasonal visits, including aquatic applications, water quality enhancement, and aeration. The role requires thorough data entry, technical support, and problem-solving with industry partners. Responsibilities also include the seasonal installation and removal of pond aeration equipment and maintenance of fleet vehicles and application equipment. New hires will receive on-the-job training and continuing education opportunities.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree or higher in Biology, Water Resources, Fisheries related course study, or equivalent work experience.
• Must be well organized, highly motivated, and willing to work well with a team of professionals.
• Possess a current driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive combination truck/trailer non-CDL capacity and operate motor vehicles for periods of time.
• Ability to work out of small boats and be a strong swimmer.
• Need to obtain an Applicators License within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to lift up-to 50 lbs.
• Bend at waist and/or knees and lift arms at/over shoulder.
• Ability to work extended hours in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Managing customer's aquatic resources through regularly scheduled seasonal visits.
• Performing aquatic applications and water quality enhancement.
• Operating aeration systems.
• Engaging in thorough data entry and processing, providing detailed information on aquatic management.
• Analyzing customers’ needs and providing technical support for products sold.
• Engaging in problem solving by working with industry partners and developing solutions for customer projects and requests.
• Seasonal installation and removal of pond aeration equipment.
• Maintenance of fleet vehicles and application equipment.
• Focusing heavily on Commercial Aquatic Applications within the pond management team.
• Developing and initiating management plans for clients.
• Assessment of clients’ lake and/or pond with the ability to initiate the appropriate management protocol.
• Water and sediment sampling.
• Aquatic plant management and identification.
• Installation of aeration systems, and decorative fountains.
