About The Position

Motivate is looking for Seasonal Field Bike Mechanics to assist with bike inspection, maintenance, and repairs throughout the bikeshare network of docking stations during our busy riding season. Training in technical and unique aspects of bikeshare bikes will be provided. The starting schedule is Friday – Monday, 9 AM - 5 PM. Please note that schedules are subject to change as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement and for business need. Requirements

Mechanically inclined and are knowledgeable in completing repairs
Strong commitment to safe work practices
Willing to work interchangeably outdoors traveling on a bike throughout our network of stations and indoors in our bike repair depots as needed
Dependable, willing and able to work scheduled shifts, including off hours and/or weekends as needed
Can lift to 75 pounds, stoop, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods

Nice To Haves

Prior experience working with professional bicycles or similar mechanical repairs preferred

Responsibilities

Complete bike maintenance, inspections, and repairs in a professional and timely manner, with a focus on quality, productivity, and safety in the field on an assigned route
Keep detailed, accurate records of repairs using a smartphone
Stock, organize, and use various repair tools, supplies, and other equipment
Maintain compliance with standard operating procedures and repair methods
Follow all safety regulations and protocols, promptly reporting safety concerns to management
