About The Position

This posting is for attendees of the Red Deer Career & Education Expo on April 30, 2026. Morgan is seeking individuals to play a pivotal role in their dynamic world of heavy civil construction, supporting multiple projects with their clients. The role involves a rotational schedule, typically 14/7 or 21/7, with 12-hour shifts (days and nights). Travel and lodging are project-dependent. Pre-employment requirements include successful completion of an Alcohol and Drug Screening and a comprehensive Fitness-to-Work Assessment, which evaluates health history, includes pre-medical evaluations, a musculoskeletal examination, and critical strength and mobility tests (up to 50 lbs).

Requirements

  • Valid Safety Training tickets (CSO / BSO / CSTS-09/ OSSA Regional)
  • Intermediate First Aid with CPR & AED
  • H2S Alive
  • Bear Awareness (In-Class)
  • Ground Disturbance (HEO)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • CSA Approved safety boots - minimum 6" high & fully laceable.
  • Physically conditioned to repetitively and safely lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work a rotational schedule, up to 12 hours a day, for both day or night shifts as required.
  • Ability to handle noise and vibrations on the job.
  • Willingness to perform additional labour duties as / when required.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Successful completion of Alcohol and Drug Screening.
  • Successful completion of comprehensive Fitness-to-Work Assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely perform the duties of your position as defined.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, other operators, and site personnel to ensure smooth operations.
  • Champion our safety culture by adhering to Morgan's Safe Work Procedures and PPE policies.
  • Maintain awareness of the surrounding environment and potential hazards, such as other equipment or personnel.
  • Perform JSA and FLHA’s as required.
  • Demonstrate exceptional judgement and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrate versatility in collaborating effectively with team members and independently taking ownership of tasks.
  • Adhere to project specifications and guidelines to maintain quality standards.
  • Operate a 2-way radio.
  • Perform labour duties as / when required.
  • Other duties as / when assigned.
