About The Position
National General, a part of The Allstate Corporation, is seeking a Field Auto Claims Estimator to support our Kentucky region. This role involves inspecting vehicles, evaluating losses, and preparing estimates for auto or specialty lines claims. The ideal candidate will have expertise in CCC ONE estimating software, strong negotiation and time management skills, and a customer-focused approach. The candidate must be located within a 100-mile radius of Lexington, Covington, Florence, KY, or be willing to travel from Louisville, KY or Cincinnati, OH. Some work may be field-based, and some may be remote. An active Kentucky adjuster's license is preferred, or candidates must be willing to obtain it shortly after hire.
Requirements
- Proficiency in CCC ONE estimating software.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Customer-focused approach.
- Currently located within a 100-mile radius of Lexington, Covington, Florence, KY, or willing to travel from Louisville, KY or Cincinnati, OH.
- Possesses strong estimating fundamentals.
- Deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Dedicated, private workspace free from distractions when working from home.
- Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.

Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicles, evaluate losses, and prepare accurate, comprehensive estimates for both first- and third-party material damage claims across auto or specialty lines.
- Create or audit estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities.
- Negotiate settlements, make settlement payments, and document all activities in complex files across multiple lines.
- Evaluate settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
- Build strong relationships with both internal and external customers across multiple lines.
