About The Position
National General is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Field Auto Adjuster to join their Claims team. This role involves inspecting damaged vehicles, preparing accurate repair estimates, negotiating repairs with body shops, and guiding customers through the claims process. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of field auto damage estimating experience, strong customer service skills, and experience using industry estimating platforms such as CCC ONE or Mitchell. The Field Auto Adjuster will manage their own schedule, travel throughout their assigned territory, and serve as a trusted advisor during the claims process. Candidates must reside in CT.

Responsibilities
- Inspect damaged vehicles
- Prepare accurate repair estimates
- Negotiate repairs with body shops
- Guide customers through the claims process

- Travel throughout assigned territory
- Possesses strong estimating fundamentals in order to create or audit estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities
- Possesses a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company
- Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files across multiple lines
- Evaluates settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices; makes decisions on best option
- Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers across multiple lines
