Performs customer service functions in the Field Assurance department, and is responsible for technical assignments of some variety and complexity.

Requirements

  • Education equivalent to a High School Diploma with five years’ related experience, Associate’s degree with three years’ related experience, or a Bachelor’s degree, with one year of related experience.
  • Attention to accuracy and detail oriented.
  • Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.
  • Experience with test specimen preparation/equipment adjustment and operation/test data recording and analyzing.
  • Proficiency in engineering data report extraction/processing/presentation.
  • Document review and editing skills.

  • Customer service, Quality, Field Assurance, Post-Market Surveillance experience.

Responsibilities

  • Answers incoming calls from customers and sales regarding product quality issues.
  • Provides the necessary information to resolve routine customer concerns and problems.
  • Interfaces with various departments such as Quality, Engineering, etc. regarding product complaints, and management of complaints through the systems used by the FA department.
  • Decontaminates, organizes and photographs returned products.
  • Communicates with Sales and customers to collect clinically relevant information pertaining to customer complaints and Merit product.
  • Organizes and ships received product to other Merit manufacturing facilities and/or suppliers.
  • Reviews procedures with focus toward creating, and completing ECN’s as needed to maintain compliance to company practices and other regulating bodies.
  • Physically receives product from external and internal sources, documents receipt into the database.
  • Assists in supporting the Medical Device Reporting process.
  • May assist in assignments of a non-routine nature.
  • Attends meetings to provide necessary department input, or documents information pertaining to FA department functions.
  • Gathers information from Post Market Surveillance staff to make decisions regarding documentation, and correspondence.
  • Requests technical advice from engineers or supervisor to solve complex problems.
  • Performs other duties and tasks as required.
