Job Description: Summary: The individual will be working at various asphalt plants and terminals in the Central Ohio region, supporting production of hot-mix asphalt through plant upgrades, maintenance and repairs. Working environment is a combination of indoor and outdoor. This role will be 1st shift with the potential for nights and weekends.

Requirements

• Must have knowledge of Asphalt Plant Operations
• Ability to work nights and weekends
• Must have cutting and welding experience (Mig, Tig & Stick) and be able to pass certification
• Must have mechanical knowledge
• Ability to interpret drawings, welding symbols & specifications
• Crane rigging and signaling certification
• Able to work in confined spaces.
• Lockout tagout experience and/or certification
• Class B CDL
• Able to operate manlifts and work in elevated areas
• Possess a clean driving record
• Must be able to pass drug and alcohol screenings on demand
• Must be able to work alone or with large groups of team members
• Able to work in all environments. Wind, rain, snow, heat, cold, loud areas, etc.
• Able to lift 75 lbs
• Able to climb ladders and work at various heights up to 135’
• Able to solve problems

Responsibilities

• Work both supervised and unsupervised
• Perform tasks in a timely manner
• Work both efficiently and safely while adhering to applicable OSHA/MSHA guidelines
• Must value his and other team members’ safety as the number 1 priority
• Work in various environments
• Operate company equipment
• Submit necessary paperwork as needed
• Complete necessary training as prescribed by the company
• Get along with others and represent the company in a positive manner
• Follow direction of supervisors and other project team members
• Willing to fill in, when needed, to perform other duties at the Asphalt Plant (Ground Man or Loader Man)
