Field Appraiser - Findlay
About The Position
Vision Government Solutions provides local, county, and state governments with mass appraisal and associated software and services. The Field Appraiser conducts on-parcel reviews of property data to verify data quality and consistent treatment of properties within similar neighborhoods. The role also supports valuation parameter development and modeling, and involves professionally assisting taxpayers during informal hearings by documenting and investigating reported discrepancies. The position is suited to a self-driven, quick-learning team player in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. On-the-job and on-site training are offered, along with opportunities to advance within the company.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to learn through on-the-job training.
Nice To Haves
- Mass appraisal experience.
- Ohio Appraisal License or trainee status.
Responsibilities
- Complete on-parcel field reviews of property data using available resources to assure the quality of existing data and uniform treatment of properties within similar neighborhoods.
- Assist the Project Manager in developing and implementing valuation parameters and valuation modeling for assigned projects.
- Interact professionally and tactfully with taxpayers during the informal hearing process.
- Complete hearing forms and investigate discrepancies or inaccuracies reported by taxpayers.
- Maintain positive relations with clients, the general public, and company personnel.
