Field Applications Engineer - Power Management
About The Position
As an Engineer, Field Applications (New College Graduate), you will be placed in a twelve-to-twenty-four-month developmental rotation program that offers real-world experience learning about ADI’s technologies, customer support, and opportunity generation – providing an excellent foundation for technical expertise and soft skills growth. Participants will gain exposure to the broad portfolio of ADI technologies before eventually focusing primarily on power management and automotive battery management systems solutions while building customer engagement skills, and business acumen. During the program, you will go through a progressive curriculum where you will receive professional development opportunities and mentorship before integrating into the worldwide sales team and deploying to your target market.
Requirements
- BSEE or equivalent required
- Basic understanding of electronic schematics, layout, and components required
- Foundation of software fundamentals required
- Experience debugging hardware and software using basic lab equipment required
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge and understanding of power regulation design principles
- Experience with lab measurement and soldering equipment
- Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task and set priorities
- Solid communication skills along with comfort presenting technical topics
- Willingness to travel domestically or internationally (~10% of the time)
- Excellent problem solving, analytical, and debugging skills
- Self-motivation and capability to work autonomously
- Agility and desire for continuous learning
Responsibilities
- Design technical system proposals to meet customer requirements for power management
- Collaborating with ADI’s engineering, marketing, and sales teams to drive customer solutions
- Assisting in the evaluation and design of customer systems – hardware and software
- Troubleshooting customer hardware and software/firmware performance issues
- Understanding and disseminating customer technical requirements and market trends
- Contributing to internal product development strategy and product definitions
- Serving as trusted technical advisor to customer engineering and management teams
