Field Applications Engineer Intern
About The Position
This is a summer internship from May 24 to August 13 in Renesas’ Sales Organization, working under a senior-level Field Applications Engineer. The position is based 100% onsite in Bridgewater, New Jersey. Applicants must not have graduated before September 2027. The intern will support customer designs and technical problem-solving, including work in the local lab. The role focuses on understanding and demonstrating Renesas’ value proposition and addressing customer technical concerns to help ensure customers use Renesas products. As the intern develops knowledge, skills, and experience, the role may evolve to include additional Field Applications Engineer responsibilities.
Requirements
- Be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
- Must not have graduated before September 2027.
- Be able to interface with customers to solve customer problems.
- Have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Be able to develop and deliver clear, concise presentations.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of the semiconductor industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the development of new customer designs.
- Perform technical reviews.
- Provide analysis and troubleshooting support.
- Conduct new product evaluations.
- Provide extensive hands-on support for the local lab.
- Help demonstrate Renesas’ value proposition and resolve technical concerns so customers use Renesas products.
- Perform product characterization, design simulations, and competitive analysis.
