About The Position

The Teradyne Field Applications team is looking for a highly motivated, energetic and driven Field Application Engineer in ATE (Automated Test Equipment), who will work collaboratively with the team to develop imaginative, thorough, and practical application solutions. Develop, debug, and deploy automated test solutions on Teradyne ATE platforms for Digital, Power Management, System‑on‑Chip (SoC), Mixed‑Signal, and RF semiconductor devices. Design, develop, and maintain test program software using VBA and C#, working both by your own and in highly collaborative, cross‑functional environments. Design, review and provide technical guidance on load board and probe card schematics and layouts, ensuring robust and manufacturable hardware test solutions. Serve as a key technical liaison on customer account teams, representing Teradyne and connecting customer requirements with internal engineering, product, and factory teams. Reproduce and evaluate customer‑reported issues, working closely with software and hardware engineering teams to drive corrective actions and deliver effective interim solutions. Support release‑to‑production activities for test solutions, including integration with production handlers and probers, correlation and Gauge R&R studies to ensure manufacturing readiness. Provide on‑site technical support to customers, addressing operational questions, troubleshooting issues, and advising on tester operation, performance, and capabilities. Deliver customer training, technical exchanges, and authored technical documentation or papers to share best practices and deepen customer expertise. Build and maintain strong technical relationships with customers, gaining insight into their product roadmaps, test strategies, and future needs to help guide Teradyne solutions and innovation.
