About The Position

The Field Application Engineer (FAE) is a customer-facing technical expert who supports the full sales cycle—from early design discussions to post-implementation success. This role works closely with customers to understand their applications, recommend the right solutions, and ensure successful product integration. You will act as a trusted advisor to both customers and the sales team, helping drive design wins and long-term partnerships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred
  • Experience in a Field Application Engineer or similar customer-facing technical role within an electro-mechanical or component manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of customer applications and product integration
  • Experience with force sensing technologies is preferred
  • Hands-on skills such as strain gage bonding or soldering are an advantage
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
  • Organized, self-disciplined, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and customer support
  • Fluent in written and spoken English

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with force sensing technologies is preferred
  • Hands-on skills such as strain gage bonding or soldering are an advantage

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-sales technical support by understanding customer requirements, recommending solutions, and supporting proposals, design reviews, and technical presentations
  • Partner with sales to influence product selection and secure new business opportunities
  • Deliver post-sales support by resolving technical issues, supporting integration, and assisting with testing, calibration, and validation
  • Troubleshoot customer challenges both remotely and on-site as needed
  • Share customer feedback with engineering and product teams to support product improvements and roadmap decisions
  • Document applications, solutions, and lessons learned to build internal knowledge and support future opportunities

Benefits

  • Base Salary: $105,000 - $130,000
