About The Position

Gulfstream is seeking a Field Airborne Support Team AMT IV A&P to perform various technical functions of aircraft maintenance, repair, replacement, and modification of key aircraft components on AOG (Aircraft on Ground) aircraft during road trips and within the Customer Support organization. This role involves performing aircraft maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair duties with accuracy and skill on customer live in-service aircraft, and supporting customers in diagnosing and resolving technical problems. The position requires the ability to be on-call and dispatched within two hours of initial contact. This role is specifically recruiting in the West Coast Region, exclusively in California.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
6 years aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical).
2 years of relevant Gulfstream aircraft experience.
A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required.
Valid Driver’s License required.
Ability to obtain Passport required.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Nice To Haves

Advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models and systems.
Advanced knowledge of pertinent technical reference materials (maintenance manuals, IPCs, Service Bulletins, structural repair manuals, engineering drawings, ADS, etc.).

Responsibilities

Perform various technical functions of aircraft maintenance, repair, replacement, and modification of key aircraft components on AOG aircraft on road trips and in the Customer Support organization.
Perform aircraft maintenance and perform troubleshooting and repair duties requiring accuracy and skill on customer live in-service aircraft.
Support the customer in diagnosing and resolving technical problems with the aircraft.
Be available on an on-call basis, with the ability to be on site or dispatched on the FAST aircraft within two hours of the initial contact from Gulfstream.
Communicate effectively with the customer, scheduling, FAST flight crews, Tech Ops, business office, vendors, Warranty, Field Service Representatives and Hangar Ops.
Act as the single point of contact between Gulfstream and the customer to correctly relay the aircraft schedule and return to service expectations.
Perform AOG maintenance and necessary servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems.
Work independently and consistently to perform assigned maintenance and avionics tasks within the quoted or standard CMP time with little or no supervision.
Repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot mechanical and functional components of the aircraft including airframes, engine components, landing gear, electrical components, and control systems.
Coordinate with inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements.
Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with the customer and provide one-on-one direct familiarization briefings with the customer during the road trip.
Properly identify (tag) customer property and equipment.
Store aircraft components and other customer property securely and safely.
Follow standard operating procedures and JSAs when operating ground support equipment.
Operate and oversee use of special support equipment used in removal and installations of major components.
Order and receive all tooling and materials that will be needed to service the AOG aircraft.
Arrange the shipment of all core units and tooling back to Gulfstream.
Identify required advanced troubleshooting techniques for all model aircraft with assistance from Tech Ops.
Perform other duties as assigned.
