As a Patcher/Refinisher, you'll repair cosmetic imperfections in fiberglass components and restore surfaces to Sea Fox quality standards. Working with gelcoat, fillers, sanding equipment, and polishing tools, you'll help ensure every boat leaves our facility looking showroom-ready.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience sanding, finishing, buffing, polishing, or repairing fiberglass, automotive paint, marine products, or similar materials is preferred.
  • Previous experience in fiberglass repair, marine manufacturing, automotive body repair, composite repair, cabinet finishing, or similar refinishing work.
  • Experience with gelcoat application and color matching is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of sanding techniques, polishing compounds, and finishing procedures.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect fiberglass parts, hulls, decks, and components for cosmetic imperfections, blemishes, cracks, chips, scratches, pinholes, and other defects.
  • Repair fiberglass surfaces using fillers, gelcoat, and other approved repair materials.
  • Sand, feather, shape, and blend repaired areas to match surrounding surfaces.
  • Color match gelcoat repairs to ensure a seamless, factory-quality finish.
  • Buff, polish, and refinish repaired areas to restore original appearance and gloss.
  • Perform quality inspections throughout the repair process to ensure repairs meet Sea Fox standards.
  • Operate pneumatic and electric sanders, polishers, grinders, and other finishing equipment safely.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Work closely with Quality Control and Production teams to identify and correct cosmetic defects before final inspection.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
