Requirements

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work at heights (up to 30 feet) and in confined spaces (attics, crawl spaces, basements)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds
  • Comfortable using hand tools and performing technical installation work
  • Ability to distinguish colors for wiring and fiber connections

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with fiber optic installations, including fusion splicing and testing
  • Familiarity with bucket trucks and aerial work
  • Fiber optic and/or OSHA 10 certification
  • Experience upselling or recommending services to customers

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain fiber optic services and customer premise equipment (CPE)
  • Deliver a best-in-class customer experience -educating customers, addressing questions, and ensuring satisfaction
  • Troubleshoot and resolve service and equipment issues to minimize downtime and optimize performance
  • Perform work safely in a variety of environments, including heights (up to 30 feet), confined spaces, and outdoor conditions
  • Use hand tools, fiber tools, and testing equipment to complete installations and repairs
  • Identify opportunities to recommend additional services that meet customer needs
  • Accurately complete service documentation, installation checklists, and reporting
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines
