About The Position

At MasTec Communications Group, the Fiber Splicing Construction Supervisor supports a team of Fiber Splicers working on upgrades to existing plants, plant extensions, and new-build construction. The supervisor directs multiple crews and their jobsite activities, develops team members’ telecom construction skills and knowledge, and provides customer service while interfacing with customers. The role leads by example in support of the company-wide safety culture and drives crews to meet deadlines and deliver quality projects.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of Fiber Splicing experience.
• A safety-minded approach.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues in the field.
• Willingness to coach and mentor a team.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn custom software.

Responsibilities

• Give direction to multiple crews and their jobsite activities.
• Develop the team’s skill set and knowledge of telecom construction.
• Provide a high level of customer service when interfacing with customers.
• Lead by example and support the company-wide safety culture.
• Drive the team to meet deadlines and produce quality projects.
• Support Fiber Splicers in upgrades to existing plants, plant extensions, and new-build construction.
