About The Position

Valley Fiber Ltd. is seeking a Fiber Construction Technician to join their growing team in Manitoba. This role is responsible for the installation and maintenance of fiber optic infrastructure in assigned rural municipalities. The technician will operate construction equipment, install fiber components, perform splicing, and ensure high-quality connectivity. This is an opportunity to contribute to building a superior internet service across the province.

Requirements

  • Valid class 5 driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Place Fiber within RMs assigned
  • Operate various equipment for installation of fiber
  • Install fiber, NIDs, Test Stations, MSTs & Splice fiber once installed
  • Maintenance on equipment
  • Vehicle, and trailer inspections
  • Update programs for work completion
  • Request materials for assigned tasks
  • Complete job costing, assign per location were working
  • Communicate and work with the Fiber Construction Leads and Supervisors
