About The Position

This position is responsible for providing customer service assistance, managing incoming calls, and overseeing the flow of shipments. The role involves verifying shipment details, processing deliveries and completed loads, resolving shipping and receiving issues, and maintaining accurate records. Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices and company safety rules is essential. The Flow Controller will also delegate assignments, monitor workflow through the Warehouse Management System (WMS), and ensure timely processing and fulfillment of shipments.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
3 months verifiable customer service experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Outstanding computer and data entry skills.
Ability to effectively multi-task.

Responsibilities

Provides customer service assistance to customers and manages incoming calls.
Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
Set daily delivery appointments.
Process incoming deliveries.
Process completed loads.
Resolve any issues with shipping and/or receiving with internal staff.
Files paperwork daily.
Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.
Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
Delegate assignments to associates per volume.
Monitor workflow through WMS.
Ensure shipments are processed and fulfilled by priority.
Other duties as assigned.
