About The Position

The FFWS Peer Mentor student employee serves as a peer mentor in the OMSA office and acts as a campus contact for FFWS grant recipients, with an emphasis on first-year and new transfer scholars. This position plays a vital role in helping students build strong connections to campus, increase engagement, and support the overall goal of scholar retention and graduation.

Requirements

• Must be a FFWS recipient
• Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Must be a FFWS- Sophomore, Junior, Senior

Responsibilities

• Mentoring students
• Assisting with the planning and implementation of FFWS events
• Attending program activities
• Collaborating with fellow peer mentors
• Maintaining a professional work environment
• Submitting timesheets and weekly summaries on time
• Accurately entering data into Navigate and the FFWS database
• Participating in weekly meetings with their supervisor
