Opportunity Overview We have an immediate opening for an OR/PACU Recovery RN to join our team at RMA of New York in Eastside, New York and Brooklyn, New York. Compensation: $92,000 (commensurate with experience) This role provides the opportunity to grow within a nationally respected organization while remaining closely connected to the patients and teams you support every day.
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Current BLS and/or ACLS certification
- Over 1 year nursing experience
- Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
- Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
Nice To Haves
- PACU experience is strongly preferred
- Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
Responsibilities
- Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
- Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
- Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received IV sedation. conscious sedation
- Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed
- Provide patient education
