About The Position
Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking experienced, compassionate female caregivers to assist a female client in Meriden, KS who requires specialized support for Dementia/Alzheimer's care. Due to the personal nature of daily bathing and personal care, our client specifically requests a female caregiver. We offer flexible options to fit your schedule, including weekday shifts, weekend hours, or a steady 7-day routine. We are a supportive, welcoming family that values and respects our caregivers.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with clients diagnosed with Dementia or Alzheimer's is required.
- Female caregiver (Bona Fide Occupational Qualification based on personal care needs).
- Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Reliable personal transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
- Strong work ethic, patience, reliability, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, specialized non-medical support tailored to a client living with Dementia/Alzheimer's.
- Assist with daily bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene needs safely and with dignity.
- Provide patient, warm engagement, redirecting techniques, and continuous safety oversight.
- Prepare nutritious midday meals tailored to daily preferences.
- Support gentle, guided daily mobility and exercise routines.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.
