Riverside Medical Group located in Newport News Virginia is currently seeking Advanced Practice Provider Candidates for our Acute Care Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship Program. This one-year program is designed for newly graduating Acute Care trained NP’s or PA who are interested in developing a career in Acute Care Medicine. Successful completion of this program will facilitate a comprehensive transition to practice for a novice provider. Application deadline is April 15, 2026. All final applicants will undergo a preliminary TEAMs interview with onsite panel interviews scheduled in April/May 2026. Final candidate selection deadline is May 30, 2026. Fellowship start date will be late summer/Fall 2026. You must submit with application: · Current CV / Resume · A 500-word letter of intent: Prompts include (but not limited to): why you wish to complete a postgrad fellowship in critical care, unique qualities that will make you a successful candidate · Three Email contacts for reference: 1 should be a physician colleague, 1 academic reference and 1 preceptor reference. The Acute Care Advanced Practice Fellowship is an immersive, post‑graduate training program designed for motivated advanced practice providers who are eager to build confidence, competence, and clinical excellence in high‑acuity, fast‑paced healthcare environments. To enhance learning and broaden clinical perspectives, fellows may also rotate at sister facilities within the health system, offering additional specialty and patient population exposure. Work schedules are thoughtfully structured with 8- to 12-hour shifts, depending on the rotation, balancing real-world clinical experience with an emphasis on professional growth and well-being. Learn Alongside Future Physician Leaders Fellows participate in co-learning educational opportunities alongside Internal Medicine and Emergency Department residency programs, fostering teamwork, mutual respect, and a strong foundation in interprofessional collaboration. Fellows also actively participate in and perform procedures appropriate to their scope of practice and clinical rotation, with guided supervision and mentorship from experienced faculty.
