About The Position

The Feeding Technician provides direct care to patients enrolled in the feeding program, working under the supervision of a licensed psychologist, BCBA, or BCBA-D. The primary responsibility of this role is the direct implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) protocols. Requirements

  • No minimum experience required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment
  • Ability to provide, assess, interpret, and communicate client-specific data in response to treatment protocols
  • Must possess strong organizational and time management skills along with ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to successfully pass all post-training tests which may include basic Applied Behavior Analysis post-test, 3-step post-test, assaultive techniques checklist post-test, and teaching procedures role playing

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Psychology, Education, ABA, Behavioral Health, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, etc
  • Experience in the implementation of behavioral assessment/treatment programs with children with developmental disabilities or medically complex populations
  • Experience in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct client care utilizing applied behavior analysis protocols under the supervision of a licensed psychologist, BCBA or BCBA-D.
  • Communicates case-related activities with supervisors using written and verbal communication.
  • Accurately collects behavior data during direct observations using data collection systems.
  • Assists in the monitoring and adjustment of routine behavioral assessments and protocols.
  • Assists with the preparation of treatment foods following strict hygiene and safety standards.
  • Utilizes safe and appropriate handling, management, and guidance procedures when transporting or working with patients.
  • Assists in the maintenance of supplies necessary for implementation of behavioral feeding protocols.
  • Attends team supervision meetings and required trainings.
