About The Position

Set-up and run analog press feeder equipment as per job specifications, maintaining good quality, productivity to meet customer expectations. The role involves preparing the press for use by loading paper stock and adjusting for size, setting feed board, side guides, register board and delivery mechanism, and loading ink. The position requires maintaining the press paper supply, ink levels, feeder load level, and feeder operation during the press operation. It also includes reading and understanding job tickets, assembling materials, assisting with preventive maintenance, tracking job production hours, and contributing to safety goals by maintaining a clean workplace and reporting unsafe conditions. The Feeder is expected to meet productivity and quality standards, move materials using a pallet jack, and work overtime as needed. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Four plus years of relevant industry experience or 520 hours as an Imagine temporary employee along with manager’s approval to hire full-time.
  • Basic computer skills including email, basic mouse, keyboard, and menu navigation.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and measurement.
  • Ability to communicate/understand basic written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to become electric pallet jack certified and use a pallet jack.

Nice To Haves

  • One plus years of experience working in printing, manufacturing, distribution and/or fulfillment.
  • One plus years of experience as a press helper in a high-volume print shop
  • Electric pallet jack certified.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare press for use by loading paper stock and adjusting for size, setting feed board, side guides, register board and delivery mechanism, and loading ink.
  • Maintain the press paper supply during the press operation.
  • Maintain press ink levels, feeder load level and feeder operation.
  • Read and understand job ticket and corresponding information to assemble materials for job.
  • Assist in completing preventive maintenance.
  • Track job production hours as applicable.
  • Contribute to safety goals by maintaining a clean, clutter-free workplace, report potentially unsafe conditions and ensure that the department meets and exceeds safety requirements.
  • Meet productivity and quality standards by completing work in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Move materials – paper, supplies, completed jobs using pallet jack.
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
