  • Ability to bend/stoop, squat, crawl, climb, reach above shoulder level, kneel, balance, push/pull, twist and perform robotic motions continuously.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs continuously and up to 74 lbs frequently.
  • Requires use of both feet on a continuous basis.
  • Requires use of both hands for simple grasping, firm grasping, fine manipulation and repetitive actions on a continuous basis.
  • Ability to read, write, hear, see, speak and have agility on a continuous basis.
  • Ability to read computer screen or other electronic devices.
  • Use of various hand and electrical tools and equipment.
  • Work in areas of fluctuating temperature.
  • Must wear PPE: Steel-toed/safety footwear, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Cut resistant Safety Gloves, Hair Net.

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently feed or remove cartons from gluers.
  • Verify that the pallet coming to Finishing is the proper item to be fed and glued.
  • Feed cartons into the machine bed.
  • Continuously keep the machine feed filled with paper cartons while the machine is running.
  • Communicate with operators/forklift drivers to ensure an ample supply of die-cut cartons is available to be fed into the gluer.
  • Pick up cartons from the conveyor and stack them into cases.
  • Check cartons for quality and excessive glue.
  • Clear the line when the machine gets jammed with the Carton Pack.
  • Ensure corrugated cases are straight to prevent jams with the metal guide bar.
  • Verify pallet labels for accuracy.
  • Perform manual sorting for defective jobs.
  • Hand pack into corrugated cases.
  • Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures related to the production of Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
  • Report potentially unsafe conditions that may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures to a person of authority.
  • Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions as required.
  • Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
  • Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority for recording and/or correction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
