About The Position

The Feeder-Folder continuously grasps, sorts, inspects, and grades clean textiles, then folds them by hand or feeds them into an ironer or folding machine for finishing. The role includes assembling and packaging textiles, moving carts and bins within the production area, and processing products according to written packing instructions. Employees must meet efficiency and safety standards, follow supervisory instructions, keep the work area neat and clean, and perform other production tasks as needed. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or 2:30 p.m. Saturday work may be required after a holiday. The stated pay is $19.29 per hour. The work takes place in the production areas of an industrial laundry facility, where conditions may include variations in temperature, odors, humidity, lint, and dust. The position has no travel requirement and no education requirement.

Requirements

Recognize colors and sizes, and count and sort accurately.
Recognize, inspect, and grade products.
Comprehend and follow written packing instructions.
Comprehend and follow directions.
Be able to meet the physical demands of the position for the entire shift.

Responsibilities

Grasp textiles from carts or bins, then sort, inspect, and grade them according to quality standards.
Fold, assemble, and package different types and sizes of textiles by hand.
Feed different types and sizes of textiles into ironers or folding machines.
Place finished products onto conveyors or into carts, and dump slings of product onto work tables.
Move loaded or empty carts and bins within the production area.
Process textiles according to type and written packing instructions.
Continuously meet efficiency and safety standards for the position.
Follow instructions from supervision.
Keep the work area neat and clean.
Work in other production positions as needed.
