About The Position

The Feeder-Folder continuously grasps, sorts, inspects, and grades clean textiles, then folds them by hand or feeds them into an ironer or folding machine for final finishing. The position also performs other production tasks as required. Work is scheduled Monday through Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or 2:30 p.m.; Saturday work may occur after a holiday day. The role is based in the production area of an industrial laundry facility and requires meeting physical demands throughout the shift.

Requirements

Recognize colors and sizes, and count and sort accurately.
Recognize, inspect, and grade products.
Comprehend and follow written packing instructions.
Comprehend and follow directions.
Be able to meet the physical demands of the position for the entire shift.

Responsibilities

Grasp textiles from carts or bins, then sort, inspect, and grade them according to quality standards.
Fold, assemble, and package different types and sizes of textiles by hand.
Feed different types and sizes of textiles into ironers or folding machines.
Place finished products onto conveyors or into carts, and dump slings of product onto work tables.
Move loaded or empty carts and bins within the production area.
Process textiles according to type and written packing instructions.
Continuously meet position efficiency and safety standards.
Follow instructions from supervisors.
Keep the work area neat and clean.
Work in other production positions as needed.
