About The Position

The Feeder/Folder continuously grasps, sorts, inspects, and grades clean textiles according to quality standards. The employee folds textiles by hand or feeds them into an ironer or folding machine for finishing, then places finished products on conveyors or in carts. The role also includes assembling and packaging textiles according to written instructions, moving carts and bins within the production area, maintaining a neat and clean work area, and meeting efficiency and safety standards. Employees may work in other production positions as needed.

Requirements

Recognize colors and sizes, and count and sort accurately.
Recognize, inspect, and grade products.
Understand and follow written packing instructions.
Understand and follow directions.
Meet the physical demands of the position for the entire shift.

Responsibilities

Grasp textiles from carts or bins and sort, inspect, and grade them according to quality standards.
Fold, assemble, and package different types and sizes of textiles by hand.
Feed different types and sizes of textiles into ironers or folding machines.
Place finished products onto conveyors or into carts, and dump slings of product onto work tables.
Move loaded or empty carts and bins within the production area.
Process textiles according to type and written packing instructions.
Continuously meet position efficiency and safety standards.
Follow instructions from supervision.
Keep the work area neat and clean.
Work in other production positions as needed.
