Requirements
- Previous experience in truck driving is preferred but not required. We provide on-the-job training!
- Strong driving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required OR the ability to obtain one within 60 days.
- Class A CDL or ability to obtain required certification.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work extended seasonal hours.
- Ability to climb heights, lift up to 50 pounds, and sit for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe operations.
- A safety-minded, dependable professional who enjoys working independently, providing excellent customer service, and contributing to the success of our customers and cooperative.
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver feed to various locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Assist with loading and unloading feed, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on the truck to ensure it is in top condition.
- Provide excellent customer service and build positive relationships with our clients.
- Deliver bulk feed and other products to customer locations.
- Transport inventory between locations and suppliers.
- Load, unload, and verify products for accurate delivery.
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
- Complete required delivery and trip documentation.
- Maintain positive customer relationships and communicate customer concerns or opportunities to management.
- Follow all company, DOT, OSHA, FDA, and safety requirements.
