About The Position

This is a permanent, full-time position at a feed mill. The role involves preparing preweigh, ensuring the quality and quantity of handadds, assisting with truck loading and unloading, bagging, and inventory management. The successful candidate must be adaptable to flexible work hours, including evening and night shifts, and may be required to cover bagging duties during holidays or absences of other staff members. The current shift is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but flexibility for shift work, including weekends and holidays, is essential.

Requirements

Ability to drive a forklift with a valid certification
Some computer knowledge
Attention to detail and accuracy in measuring, weighing, and labeling the bags
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and climbing
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet the production deadlines
Ability to work flexible hours, shift work, including weekends and holidays, as needed

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in feed mill operations such as bagging, packaging, or warehouse operations preferred, an asset

Responsibilities

Operate feed mill equipment such as grinders, mixers, conveyors, pellet mills, and load-out systems
Accurately measure, weigh, and mix ingredients according to feed formulas and production schedules
Monitor production processes to ensure product quality, consistency, and efficiency
Perform routine equipment inspections, minor maintenance, and cleaning to prevent downtime and contamination
Load and unload raw materials and finished feed, including bulk trucks and/or bagged products
Maintain accurate production, inventory, and quality control records
Follow workplace safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, confined space, and dust control protocols
Identify and report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality concerns to supervisors
Assist with inventory management and raw material organization
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
