About The Position

JBS Live Pork Centralia is looking for a full time Feed Mill Production Technician. This role involves operating multiple pieces of equipment to manufacture feeds that meet specifications and food safety requirements. The technician will also be responsible for sampling and receiving ingredients, monitoring inventory, scheduling production, maintaining accurate records, and performing housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean workplace.

Requirements

• Basic math & computer skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to safely lift 50 pounds.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to clean and organize work areas.
• Interpersonal skills for working with other employees.
• Available to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in feed milling or industrial manufacturing work.
• Above average skills in teamwork, decision making, taking responsibility, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Run multiple pieces of equipment, i.e. grinders, batching scales, mixers, feed cleaners, pellet mills, coolers.
• Samples and receives ingredients by truck and monitors ingredients inventory levels.
• Manufacture feeds to ensure that they meet specifications and food safety requirements.
• Schedule production based on priorities and customer demands.
• Keep accurate, legible records.
• Perform housekeeping tasks, maintain a clean workplace.
