About The Position

The purpose of this position is to perform basic functions to insure efficient daily operations of the Feed Mill. Incremental increases are earned through developing skills and qualifications. All shifts are available currently, depending on availability.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Good communication skills with a teamwork attitude are essential
• Self-motivation with a drive for safe quality feed is required
• Limited computer skills required
• Mathematical ability is required
• Stand and walk constantly; grip, grasp, push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, lift up to 60 pounds frequently; sit, climb, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to climb up to 150ft by ladder.

Nice To Haves

• Agricultural experience is preferred
• Prior experience in a feed mill is preferred
• Training in preventative maintenance programs, mechanical and electrical systems desirable
• Knowledge of production agriculture desirable

Responsibilities

• Mixing and loading poultry feed for delivery to multiple farm locations
• Apply knowledge of SQF and Safe Food/Safe Feed practices during all mill activities
• Receiving and maintenance of ingredient inventories
• Preventative maintenance and repair of mill and related equipment
• Maintaining a clean safe Mill environment
• Provide back-up support to Mill Manager as required
• Other duties as assigned
