Feed Mill Production-2nd shift
About The Position
The Feed Mill production employee is responsible for completing diversified duties, ensuring feed is processed to meet our company, and customers’ high expectations. The operation specialist will be responsible for learning and working with all aspects involved with feed manufacturing. The position responsibilities include plant start-ups and shutdowns, receiving, batching, housekeeping, general maintenance and facility upkeep, internal and external customer service, and some load monitoring. The operation specialist will have daily duties, fill in for absences and assist in other areas as needed, all while casting the vision of Mercer Landmark’s mission, goals, and values.
Requirements
- Customer Service – Ability to communicate with coworkers, customers, contractors, and all Mercer Landmark Staff, clearly, effectively, and respectfully.
- Technology – Ability to operate Microsoft Word programs and the WEM software.
- Ability to safely lift 50lbs.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Possess a valid and insurable driver’s license.
- Ability to work extended hours, including weekends when necessary.
- Ability to complete all duties and responsibilities safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Daily start up and/or shutdown of the plant.
- Receive and process incoming ingredients and grain.
- Ensure facility housekeeping standards are met.
- Clearly and effectively communicate with coworkers, managers, and all other Mercer Landmark personnel.
- Perform general and preventative maintenance duties when assigned.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inventory control duties.
- Work weekends and/or other overtime hours, to meet customer and company needs.
- Fill in for absences and work in other areas as needed.
