About The Position

Looking for a hands-on role where you can work with equipment, stay active, and be part of a team that supports agriculture? Join CHS as a Feed Mill Operator in our Corson, SD! location! In this role, you’ll help produce high-quality livestock feed by operating equipment, supporting day-to-day production, and keeping the facility running safely and efficiently. No direct feed mill experience? No problem. We provide on-the-job training!

Requirements

Knowledge of operations, production, manufacturing, agriculture or general labor environments.
Must meet minimum age requirement
Ability to operate machinery such as conveyors, forklifts and electric hoist
Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands
Working knowledge of basic computer functions.

Nice To Haves

High School diploma or GED preferred
Agriculture experience preferred
Forklift certification preferred

Responsibilities

Operate feed mill equipment ( mixers & batching systems) to manufacture livestock feed
Receive, handle, and move feed ingredients, load and unload trucks
Prepare and manage loadout, including opening hatches, attaching hoses, sampling, and ensuring accurate product delivery
Monitor batching/scaling systems and adjust processes to maintain feed quality and production accuracy
Perform routine equipment maintenance (greasing, inspections, minor troubleshooting) and report mechanical issues
Maintain a clean, safe mill environment through daily housekeeping, spill cleanup, and site upkeep
Follow all safety, quality, and compliance standards while working with the team to meet daily production target
