About The Position

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a Feed Mill Mixer/Operator for the 1st Shift. This role is primarily responsible for mixing micro ingredients according to specified formulas and staging them neatly. The position also involves performing housekeeping, equipment maintenance and repair, and quality checks on ingredients. Additionally, the operator is responsible for preventing theft or loss of product, ensuring trucks leave empty, and maintaining compliance with all company policies, FSMA regulations, and local, state, and federal laws. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to perform basic math functions (i.e. proportions, percentages, area, volume, etc.).
Possess basic computer knowledge and usage abilities.
Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
Ability to communicate effectively, and read and write legibly.
Possess sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.

Previous feed mill experience.

Responsibilities

Mix and route feed according to formulas, procedures and schedule utilizing batching controller, mixing equipment, routing equipment, destination bins and downstream operations.
Communicate and coordinate batching schedule and production with appropriate personnel maximizing efficiency while following FDA, GMP and QC procedures.
Accurately complete and maintain assigned reports, logs and documents in a neat and orderly manner.
Monitor and adjust equipment accordingly.
Use proper operating parameters and equipment settings to effectively deliver a high quality product.
Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
Communicate equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
Perform routine housekeeping ensuring designated areas are kept clean.
Comply with all company policies, FSMA regulations, and local, state and federal laws, and regulations.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
