As a Millwright at Simplot Western Stockmen's, you'll play a critical role in maintaining and repairing equipment, facilities, and grounds to ensure our feed mill operates safely, efficiently, and reliably every day. This position offers a variety of work, from equipment repair and preventive maintenance to fabrication projects and facility improvements. Whether you're an experienced millwright, maintenance technician, mechanic, or someone with strong mechanical aptitude looking to grow your skills, we'd love to hear from you.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous maintenance, millwright, mechanical, agricultural equipment, industrial maintenance, fabrication, or related experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of augers, rollers, conveyors, grain handling systems, or feed mill operations is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety, reliability, and quality workmanship.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to maintain driving privileges.
• Ability to read and follow safety guidelines, maintenance manuals, and operating procedures.
• Basic computer, recordkeeping, and communication skills.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations involving measurements, fractions, and decimals.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize maintenance tasks and respond to equipment issues efficiently.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of augers, rollers, conveyors, grain handling systems, or feed mill operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mill equipment and facility systems.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
• Assist with welding, fabrication, and equipment modifications as needed.
• Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain augers, rollers, conveyors, grain handling equipment, and other mill machinery.
• Support facility and grounds maintenance to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
• Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and operations team to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance standards.
• Assist with other maintenance and operational projects as needed.
