Shelbyville Feed Mill Panel Operators - Feed Ingredient Receiver Operator FM01 - FT (3rd Shift)
About The Position
This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex as a priority. External candidates are considered post internal applicant review. Current team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner. The Feed Mill Panel Operator role involves operating scales, documenting incoming ingredients, unloading feed ingredients, and performing quality analysis. The role also requires minor maintenance duties, working in various environmental conditions, and adhering to safety and biosecurity guidelines. This is a full-time position on the 3rd shift.
Requirements
- Ability to certify and maintain PIT Certification.
- Ability to certify as a Weigh Master.
- Ability to achieve and maintain respirator certification where applicable (ability be clean shaven).
- Valid Class D License where applicable.
Responsibilities
- Ability to accurately record data
- Ability be able to operate scales and document incoming ingredients through the ticketing system
- Ability to operate equipment to unload feed ingredients and route to appropriate storage silo
- Ability to obtain and run quality analysis on required incoming ingredients
- Ability to lift and use hand tools to assist in unloading of ingredients
- Ability to perform minor maintenance duties using hand tools
- Able to work in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments. Heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather.
- Ability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling
- Ability to work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures
- Able to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guidelines including an agreement to avoid any avian species
- Maintain good housekeeping including service areas
- Communicate to all levels of Operations including Customers and Vendors both orally and in writing where required
- Follow and Operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols
- Able to Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs with assistance
- Stand, Sit, Walk, Climb Ladder/Stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day.
- Complete all other tasks assigned by management.
