About The Position

This position is responsible to operate unloading equipment to unload all incoming bulk ingredients on rail and/or truck. The hours are Monday - Friday 2 pm to 10 pm, with flexible scheduling required as work days/hours may change in the future. The pay is $18.05 per hour plus a $1.00 shift premium. Selected candidate must live in a 50-mile radius from the facility.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six (6) months operator experience with one employer in the previous 12 months.
  • Six months clerical experience and/or feed mill experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of D.O.T. trucking procedures preferred.
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Basic Math Skills
  • Communication Skills
  • Basic mechanical Skills
  • Basic computer skill
  • Ability to certify and maintain PIT Certification
  • Ability to certify as a Weigh Master
  • Ability to achieve and maintain respirator certification where applicable (ability be clean shaven)
  • Valid Class D License where applicable

Responsibilities

  • Ability to accurately record data
  • Ability be able to operate scales and document incoming ingredients through the ticketing system
  • Ability to operate equipment to unload feed ingredients and route to appropriate storage silo
  • Ability to obtain and run quality analysis on required incoming ingredients
  • Ability to lift and use hand tools to assist in unloading of ingredients
  • Ability to perform minor maintenance duties using hand tools
  • Able to work in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments. Heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather.
  • Ability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling
  • Ability to work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures
  • Able to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guidelines including an agreement to avoid any avian species
  • Maintain good housekeeping including service areas
  • Communicate to all levels of Operations including Customers and Vendors both orally and in writing where required
  • Follow and Operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols
  • Able to Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs. with assistance
  • Stand, Sit, Walk, Climb Ladder/Stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day.
  • Complete all other tasks assigned by management.
