About The Position

Drives diesel-powered tractor trailer combination to transport feed from mills to farms. The shift is Sunday - Thursday, starting at 4:30 PM until finish. This role requires the ability to work 12+ hours per day, including holidays, and maintain an excellent attendance and safety record. The driver must be able to follow instructions, be flexible, and work independently, while also being capable of handling on-road situations. A strong understanding of weights, scales, and local route restrictions, including overweight permits, is necessary. Experience in rural route deliveries and a solid grasp of agricultural biosecurities are also important. Familiarity with feed mill load-out systems is beneficial.

Requirements

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Minimum 1 year of experience in hauling animal feed.
Ability to speak English.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Self-Starter.
Excellent attendance and safety record.
Must be able to follow instructions, be very flexible and work independently.

Nice To Haves

Experience in rural route deliveries

Responsibilities
