About The Position

This position works extensively with cooperative customers to provide a high level of service. The employee delivers bulk feed, prepares and mixes livestock feed, and helps ensure feed shipments are accurate, safe, and high quality. The role also involves maintaining equipment and sanitation, following feed flushing and sequencing procedures, keeping production and FDA records, and completing required driving, inspection, and safety documentation. Work takes place both indoors and outdoors, in conditions that may not be climate controlled.

Requirements

High school graduate or GED; experience may offset this requirement.
Ability to operate a forklift.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Customer-focused, hardworking, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Ability to perform the stated physical demands, including frequently lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Previous industry experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

Deliver bulk feed to the correct location and load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
Mix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently while ensuring accuracy and high quality.
Maintain equipment and sanitation.
Perform proper feed flushing and sequencing according to Quality Bulletins and GMPs.
Maintain accurate production and FDA records.
Ensure proper weights are recorded and customer bills are produced and provided to customers in a timely manner.
Perform proper inspections and documentation.
Complete and maintain required driving and inspection logs daily.
Perform and record visual and safety inspections at the start of the shift.
Conduct final inspections of feed shipments and inspect and sample feed when loading.
Follow company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Communicate potential issues involving feed or customers.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
