About The Position

This position is for a Feed Batching Skilled FM02 role on the 3rd Shift, which is a Full Time position. The role involves working in various weather and environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures, dust, and humidity. The primary responsibilities include accurately recording data, calculating feed production amounts, performing inventory using a tape measure, cleaning mills, handling ingredients with a pallet jack, performing minor maintenance, and adhering to company biosecurity guidelines. The job requires the ability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as needed, work in elevated areas, and lift up to 60 lbs (or up to 100 lbs with assistance). The role also involves standing, sitting, walking, and climbing ladders/stairs with sustained physical activity throughout the day. Communication with dispatch is essential to ensure timely feed production. All work must be performed in accordance with Tyson Health and Safety protocols.

Requirements

HS diploma or equivalent preferred
1 year feed mill experience preferred
Basic Math Skills
Communication Skills
Basic mechanical Skills
Basic computer skill
Ability to certify and maintain PIT Certification
Ability to certify as a Weigh Master
Ability to achieve and maintain respirator certification where applicable (ability be clean shaven)
Valid Class D License where applicable
Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Six (6) months of feed mill experience preferred.
High school degree or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 months continuous experience in Industrial/Manufacturing/Construction/Landscaping/Ranching/Farming environment.
180 days wait period from last termination date.
3X rule (candidates cannot have worked for Tyson 3X before).

Responsibilities

Accurately record data.
Accurately calculate the amount of feed you can produce.
Accurately read a tape measure for end of shift inventory.
Open heavy doors and clean out mills.
Push/pull pallet jack with bulk/1 ton bags of ingredients and hang them.
Perform minor maintenance duties using hand tools.
Work in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments with heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather.
Work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling.
Work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures.
Abide by the Company Biosecurity Guildelines including an agreement to avoid any avian species.
Maintain good housekeeping including service areas.
Communicate with dispatch to make sure the feed they need is being produced.
Follow and Operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols.
Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs with assistance.
Stand, Sit, Walk, Climb Ladder/Stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day.
Complete all other tasks assigned by management.
