The Federation Manager role is for a system administrator specializing in collective training with a background in Live, Virtual, Constructive simulation integration and mission command stimulation to support U.S. Army large scale combat operations (LSCO) in a multi-domain environment. The system administrator will ensure the simulation architecture and systems are functional and available during exercises, update and patch critical systems, and identify ways to improve the simulation architecture using the latest technology and implementation strategies. They will provide customers with insight into their exercise design through monitoring and performance management. The role involves identifying problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical simulation infrastructure, turning metrics into information, and explaining their meaning. This position offers an opportunity to broaden skill sets into areas like Federation Management and Tech Forward support utilizing U.S. Army Program of Record simulation systems and tools such as the Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) and JLCCTC’s replacement Next Gen Constructive (NGC). The role includes sharing expertise through leadership and mentoring, helping the team work through challenges and develop new methodologies, and identifying new opportunities to modernize technical support to achieve client training objectives.
