About The Position

Oregon Coast Culinary Institute (OCCI) offers practical, competitive skills necessary to ensure rewarding career. Students receive individualizes, hands-on learning because of small class sizes. This position assists with the Southwestern campus garden and greenhouse. This position is only open to Student Workers 3 to 20 hours per week.

Requirements

• Must be current degree-seeking student enrolled in at least 6 credits.
• Must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0.
• Must be eligible to receive FWS based on financial need and eligibility requirements determined by FAFSA.
• Organizational skills
• Ability to work independently
• Desire to work outdoors
• Ability to perform tasks as requested

Nice To Haves

• Gardening experience
• Basic building skills

Responsibilities

• Assists with the Southwestern campus garden and greenhouse.
• Watering, weeding, planting, harvesting, composting, and general upkeep with organic methods.
• Assistance with small building projects in the garden.
• Maintenance and organization of tools and supplies.
