Federal Work Study - Game Development Lab Assistant
About The Position
As a Federal Work Study Lab Assistant for Game Development, you will check students and staff in and out of Academic Labs and the Game Lounge and help troubleshoot issues. The role supports students during lab work and helps maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming Game Lounge where students can relax and meet. The position also complements and reinforces the student employee’s educational program or vocational goals by developing skills in computer software, customer relations, organization, and time management. The position is located at 180 New Montgomery, Rooms 445 and 809. It pays $19.61 per hour and offers up to 20 hours per week. Work schedules may not conflict with the student’s class schedule. Employment lasts from the student’s starting term at the Academy of Art University through graduation. Academy of Art University offers part-time employees paid sick leave.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Check students and staff in and out of Academic Labs and the Game Lounge.
- Check equipment and console games in and out.
- Maintain logs of users and equipment.
- Keep the labs and lounge clean and in working order.
- Assist with troubleshooting technical issues involving computers and consoles.
- Provide support to students during lab work and help maintain a safe, welcoming Game Lounge.
