About The Position
The Federal Work Study Assistant Set Decorator role at Academy of Art University is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in the film industry. The role involves various responsibilities related to shop operations, prop rooms, set design, and studio management.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand up for extended hours.
- Ability to carry, lift and move furniture.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in set decorating is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Reporting back to shop manager daily regarding shop and studio related tasks.
- Helping shop manager to keep track of shop and set related tasks.
- Helping shop manager and the set designer to arrange studio spaces for shoots; painting, moving furniture, using drills and shop equipment as needed.
- Making sure shop and set design room are clean and organized.
- Making sure the prop rooms are organized and clean.
- Reporting any possible hazard around the studios directly to the shop and department manager.
