Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (minimum of 24 credit hours in accounting).
  • 2-5 years of experience in accounting, interpreting, and analyzing data.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Fast learner with a willingness to learn new tasks and business functions.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to occasionally work extra hours to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to pass a federal background check and/or federal security clearance (U.S. Citizenship may be required for some client engagements).

Nice To Haves

  • Federal Government Accounting experience preferred
  • CPA candidate and/or CGFM preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review financial statements and documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Assist in the monthly closing process, including preparing journal entries and financial reports.
  • Provide management with financial information through research and analysis.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements and ensure compliance with regulatory guidance.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
