Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (minimum of 24 credit hours in accounting).
  • 4–8+ years of federal accounting/financial management experience.
  • Strong command of federal accounting
  • Ability to interpret and develop financial management procedures
  • Exceptional communication skills with experience preparing briefings and presenting to leadership.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint and Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
  • Ability to occasionally work extra hours to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to pass a federal background check and/or federal security clearance (U.S. Citizenship may be required for some client engagements).

Nice To Haves

  • CPA candidate and/or CGFM preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze general ledger activity, technical accounting, and federal financial statements.
  • Interpret and develop financial management procedures and policy documents.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Ability to create and deliver briefings, point papers, and presentations for senior government leaders.
  • Research and implement best practices to remediate audit findings and internal control deficiencies.
  • Provide clear technical guidance to junior personnel and support process improvement initiatives.
